Doug is the youngest son of the original founders of James Medical. Doug began working for his parents in 1991 when he decided to start a division of James Medical that sold nursing uniforms and accessories. Since then, James Medical Uniforms, Inc. has separated and become its own company and Doug is the sole owner. The company has grown to one of the largest privately held nursing uniform companies in the state of Indiana. In 2008 Doug, along with Jeff Castator, purchased James Medical Rents & Sales, Inc from his parents when they retired. Doug lives in Fort Wayne with his wife and two teenage daughters.

Jeff Castator was hired at James Medical in 1991. He was hired as a family friend to help with the deliveries while he was in college. When he graduated with a bachelor's degree from Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, he took over the control of the day-to-day operations of James Medical as its manager. During this time Jeff has helped James Medical transition from a cash and carry retail location to a full service medical equipment supplier. James Medical has acquired various contracts with insurance companies and facilities to help broaden its line of service to position itself for future growth. Jeff is married and has 2 children.

Joe has been with James Medical since 1995. We all wear a lot of hats here; however, Joe specializes and is certified in fitting and measuring for manual and motorized wheelchairs as well as spinal braces. He is from Fort Wayne and has lived here his entire life, and has a wife and 2 children. He finds that the most rewarding part about working at James Medical is facing new challenges every day and helping improve the quality of life of others.

Mark came to James Medical in 2000. Although Mark had no previous experience in the healthcare field, he had a great deal of experience in sales. He has caught on quickly to the industry and has numerous certifications and training in rehab seating and positioning for wheelchair users. Mark is married and has 2 children.

Dave Ponder is an inside sales consultant for James Medical and has been with the company since 2001. He is our certified expert in sales and installation of Bruno stairway elevators and vehicle lift applications. He is a graduate of Snider High School and attended the University of St. Francis where he studied business communications and played football. Dave is a native of Fort Wayne, is married, and has a 2 daughters.

Jenny has worked in the healthcare field for over 15 years. After graduating from Ivy Tech with a nursing degree, she worked in the Fort Wayne area. She then decided to give medical sales a try and has been excelling at it for the past 6 years. Although Jenny has only been an employee of James Medical since May of 2006, her medical background has enhanced her job here as an inside sales representative. Giving excellent customer service is Jenny's main priority

Rachel has been working for James Medical since November of 2002 in the insurance pre-certification department and is also an inside sales representative. She is from Fort Wayne and graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. Rachel is married and spends a lot of time away from James Medical helping her husband with his excavating company that he owns along with his father. She really enjoys working with customers and helping them receive the equipment that improves their quality of life.

Mike graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne with a bachelor's degree in Communication. He has worked for James Medical since 1991 and has worked in a variety of capacities throughout his career at James Medical. Mike's main responsibility currently is working claims for Medicare and Medicaid and handling the accounts payable for the company. Throughout the years at James Medical, Mike has attended numerous seminars regarding the latest in billing procedures and current regulations regarding Medicare and Medicaid. Keeping current on all of the latest information in the billing area is Mike's main focus.

Cathy graduated from Purdue University (Fort Wayne campus) in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. After working as a Human Resource Manager in the automotive industry for 6 years, Cathy came to James Medical in March 2001. She initially did all insurance precertifications and private patient billing. Her current functions are Accounts Receivables and private insurance billing.

John has worked for James Medical since 2003. He retired in 1994 from a factory career at BFGoodrich. He owned and operated his own handyman business for a few years before joining the staff at James Medical to handle the majority of repairs and deliveries. John is certified to install Bruno stairway lifts and services Pride mobility scooters and power wheelchairs. John is married with 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He is the father of James Medicals' owner, Jeff Castator.
